Marshall Monson, DPM

LOCATIONS:

Marshall Monson, DPM, grew up in Casper, Wyoming, and is an expert foot and ankle surgeon at Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center.

Dr. Monson moved to Utah to pursue his bachelor’s degree in physiology and developmental biology at Brigham Young University. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed his doctorate in podiatric medicine at Samuel Merritt University California School of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated the top of his class.

He continued with his surgical residency program at Raymond G. Murphy Veteran Affairs Medical Center in New Mexico. In his third year of residency, he received training through Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. During his time there, he was mentored by renowned physicians in foot and ankle reconstruction surgery as well as total ankle replacement.

Dr. Monson is highly trained with expertise in Achilles tendon ruptures, bunions, hammertoes, fungal toenails, foot and ankle fractures, lateral ankle stabilization, and ankle arthroscopy.

In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and fishing.

Dr. Monson is fluent in Khmer (Cambodian), the official language of Cambodia. He is also a staff member at Mercy General Hospital, Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Mercy Hospital of Folsom, and Mercy San Juan Medical Center.
