Randall Sarte, DPM

Randall Sarte, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center in Sacramento, California. Dr. Sarte cares for all of his patients with various foot problems, including fractures, traumatic injuries, diabetic foot issues, vascular disease, and foot wounds and ulcers. 

Dr. Sarte was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He attended Geneva College before moving to Arizona, where he completed his dual bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry at Arizona State University. He then went on to pursue his doctorate in podiatric medicine at Samuel Merritt University California School of Podiatric Medicine (CSPM), graduating in 1972. 

Following his medical school training, he joined a two-year residency in the Bay Area and completed the program in 1974. He started his first private practice in Sacramento and practiced sports medicine and all types of foot and ankle surgeries in outpatient and inpatient settings. 

Dr. Sarte was the podiatrist for the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs, both professional basketball teams, for over 16 years. He also taught as an assistant professor in biomechanics at CSPM for four years.

At Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center, he brings his wealth of experience to the practice, utilizing the latest techniques in podiatric care. He uses orthotics and prosthetics to balance and control foot deformities. 

As a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Sarte welcomes all members of the community to the practice. He is a board-certified podiatrist through the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He also has extensive experience working with the medical insurance industry, including Medicare and Medicaid of the state of California.

In his free time, Dr. Sarte enjoys many activities with his family, including kayaking, hiking, fishing, camping, and traveling.
